Sand Lake Point

Architectural

Our Architectural Standards

To ensure the harmony of the neighborhood, as well as preserve and conserve the value and desirability, Sand Lake Point has an Architectural Control Committee. Any external change (house painting, roofing, landscaping, driveway pavers, boat docks, etc.) must be approved in writing by the Committee.

The ACC meets in the clubhouse at 6:30 p.m. on the second Monday of every month, unless notice of a different location, time, or date is posted on the bulletin boards at the community mail boxes. The deadline for an online architectural application is just prior to the monthly ACC meeting.  Walk-in requests are no longer supported, but we welcome you to attend the monthly meeting for questions and suggestions to help you make the application online.

Please ensure you complete the online application in FULL including ALL necessary supporting documentation (e.g., architectural drawings, plans, lot survey’s, samples etc.) to ensure the committee can act upon your application during the meeting. The online templates specify all required information. If you think your application needs explaining or want to be able to answer questions that may initially trigger a denial due to the need for more information, plan on attending the ACC meeting.

Below are additional resources.

Architectural Requests online process

To begin your online Architecture Application please log into your Leland Account Portal. Contact Leland Resident Support (407-781-1188) if you need help setting up or accessing your account. To use the online application, go to Portal Links, choose My Account, choose Architectural Dashboard, then click on New Application+ to start a Request. The old ARC request form is no longer available and traditional walk-in requests will not be approved. All applications require digital submission.

Paint Guidelines For Painting Your House

See Exhibit III in the Rules and Regulations specific to Painting Guidelines.

PAINTING YOUR HOUSE?

Use colors that compliment the particular style of your home, your roof color as well as your brick, stone or pavers color. Use all three colors – Body, Trim and Accent colors. The Accent can be used for your front door, drip edge, etc. Your garage door(s) is typically painted the same color as the home Body color.

DO NOT RELY ON COMPUTER GENERATED COLOR RENDITIONS. COMPUTER COLOR DEPICTIONS ARE ONLY PROVIDED AS A ROUGH GUIDE.

The community’s Color Palette is available in a binder at the Sherwin Williams store at 8972 Turkey Lake Road.  Brochures matching the Color Palette can also be found there.  Note that only the “Suburban Traditional” and “America’s Heritage” collections are approved.  A computer assisted guide can be found at Sherwin Williams.com

Color Palette Requirements:

1

You must choose one of the Body colors provided in the Community’s approved color palette. The matching Trim or Accent color that goes with the Body color can be chosen. Alternate Trim or Accent colors can be chosen, but they must appear in the color palette brochure.

2

The color combination you chose from the color palette must be submitted to the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) for final approval.
